Worth it! Saved my pumping journey.
I spent hours researching wearable pumps and reading reviews. I was hesitant to pay $300 for a pump that I might not like or that might not work well for me, but ultimately I decided to give Willow Go a try and I am so glad I did!
I have been exclusively pumping since my baby was about a week old and am now over 2 months postpartum. I also have a Spectra S1, which I wanted to love but just had a hard time making work for me. I decided I wanted something hands-free to make it easier to take care of my baby during the day when I was alone, and also to use when I returned to work. There was definitely an adjustment period and a lot to learn, but I can honestly say I love my Willow Go and it’s the only reason I am able to still exclusively pump. Here are my pros, cons, and recommendations for those considering purchasing.
Pros:
-Hands free, easy to use, and does the job well. I found that the flanges are a good fit for me and get better suction than my Spectra, so I get better output. I am larger chested (DD+) and always use a supportive Kindred Bravely bra and it has worked so well. You can walk around the house, care for baby, etc. Just have to squat rather than bend over or milk will leak out the top.
-Flanges and suction are more comfortable for me than a traditional pump.
-Comes with a sizing guide. I have elastic nipples that are two slightly different sizes and ended up needing to get sized by an IBCLC, but for most people this guide would be enough.
-Holds a charge…
